Ever since I was little I have always loved collecting things. From toys to bottle caps found on the street. I have manifested emotions in small objects since a young age and tiny memories from vacations or trips in forms of a match box or salt packet did always come home with me.

I have been particularly interested in collecting shells and things from the sea and find it interesting how different and unique everything is that gets washed up onto shore - from northern Norway to the south of France.

I found my self scavenging the shore whilst at the beach with my family and got obsessed with all the pretty colors and shapes you could find if you only looked close enough in the sand.

A couple of years ago I found myself walking down the beach of my childhood cabin which I’ve spent most of my summers growing up. It is a beautiful place with long white beaches and steep rounded rocks submerging into the frothy sea, which can be scary and massive at times but still home to me.

This particular year i started noticing a lot of empty oyster shells in the sand - both teeny tiny and huge. I noticed one particular shell with a hole through it and this sparked the idea of putting an earring through it. After this I came up with ways of preserving the shells and also decorating them with pearls and gems to utilize their beauty.
